If we posit that Middle Earth in the time of Bilbo and Frodo et al takes place during a retreat from a glacial maximum, and is also during a period of tectonic/magmatic quiescence, both of which have occurred in Real Earth, albeit not within the timeline of recorded human civilisation, then Tolkien's map and geology is very explicable.

Yeah, I tried KinnPorsche because everyone said it was the best. And I did think the relationshippy scenes were acted well? But the plot was so godawful tropey and flat I got bored halfway through and noped out.

Eh. People watch for different things; everybody's got a different dealbreaker: if it's your fave then rock on my dude.

It's been a while since I read the book or watched any of the movies, but I recall loving Clamenza in Godfather Part 2. I feel like the scene where they get a new rug for Vito's wife told a solid story in that Clamenza had a big influence on Vito's life as a gangster/mobster. I loved Clamenza overall in Pt2 as well.

Even before I saw the next secret I instantly thought of The Witcher. One of the reasons I didn’t want another live action adaptation is because I’ve seen shows and movies kill so many fandoms. But the fandom is still going strong because it did the one thing comms on LJ wouldn’t and tumblr couldn’t: they froze out the new fans. The message seemed to be let the show fans go off and enjoy their fandom and keep it away from our fandom. It’s worked beautifully tbh.
