I love Kill la Kill too! And I hate when people who used to like something pretend they always hated it too. I've never heard anyone say it about KLK, I just hear general hate and that has been going on since it was airing. I unfriended a longtime acquaintance on Tumblr because she had a new "KILL LA KILL IS SATAN" rant every day it seemed. What's new is the addition of hating on it for the characters being mInOrs!!1!11 Even people who ranted that it was disgusting in 2014 didn't say anything about the characters' ages. Lol.
