You're being ridiculous. This subthread started with someone saying that not being an activist in fandom is the same thing as being an oppressor. That is a stupid claim and should be derided as such. There is nothing wrong with calling out people in fandom for spreading alt right rhetoric. People should do that.

But the secret isn't about that. It's about seeing fandom as activism in the sense that everything you do in fandom must be proactively furthering an activist cause. "You want to write a fic about two white guys fucking because you need a break from life and like a ship with two white guys? Nope, sorry, that's not activist enough. Your fic must contain at least one woman or one POC, preferably both." That's the kind of "activism" this secret is about.

You’re not wrong, but you could have said all that without starting your reply with something as patronizing as “you’re being ridiculous”.
