They're impossible goals, but I love CLAMP's hairstyles - especially old school CLAMP like X 1999 and Card Captor Sakura - Also Chobits with Chi & Freya's hairstyle.

I've always been slightly obsessed with Scully's S4 bob. Her S5 bob is just slightly behind the S4 bob for my favorite Scully hair.

Also kind of obsessed with Buffy's early S2 bob.

Pretty into Rachel and Monica's early seasons hair, too.

Honestly, mid-90's hair just makes me feral. It's so bouncy and voluminous. Hnnnn I want it so muuuchhh. I am forever angry that I have the finest hair known to man and cannot even fake volume unless I resign myself to half a bloody can of hairspray and a rats nest worth of backcombing. :/

I have pretty thick hair, and I’ve been completely unable to replicate any of these glorious 90s styles I love too! I especially love Monica and Rachel’s early season cuts, but I would kill for Scully’s hairstyle in S4 or S5!

Those 90’s hairstyles were made with shit tons of hair spray and back combing, so don’t feel bad anon it wasn’t natural for those actors either and I dread to think how much damage was done to their roots from years worth of back combing like that.

Nayrt, but the anon above you

You’re right, I had forgotten that. They just made it look so natural and glossy!

Of all those, Buffy’s early season two bob was my favorite! It suited her so perfectly and was just a gorgeous style.

Christine Daaé's ridiculously long curly (wig) hair from the ALW Phantom of the Opera stage show.

There were rl examples of women with hair like that in the nineteenth century but it required a ton of work, and in most cases it involved lots of additional false (or other people's real) hair. Some of the stage productions still use human hair wigs.

I only really pulled it off in my early 20s for cosplay when I had really long hair, so even after a can and spray bottle each of hairspray and sleeping in probably 80 curlers, it still fell past my waist. Now I'd need extensions, probably.
