For me the first time participating in fandom was Beyblade, when I was 14-15 years old.
Before that we had a very strict time limit for internet (back when you had to pay by the minute SIGH) so I could only quickly search through fanfiction and media theory forums.
The first time I could use internet I was searching through news about DragonBall GT, which was beginning to airing in my country! All those wacky OCs that all people believed were real, ahahah!
I still remember when I wanted a DBZ background for my PC and I had to wait for like 30 minutes to have it downloaded ahaha good memories
