Oof, thanks for sharing that. Should I attempt to contact in a different way? Or just leave it to the usual method? I think that friend isn't checking the usual way, so I do want to let them know it's cool between us.

nayrt but IMO, usual method. If the friend isn't checking the usual way, then that's her choice. She'll get your messages later, and she's clearly cool with that if she isn't checking herself.
