The "These two characters are literally, 100% made for each other and if they don't get together for real I will pine and die" segment of fandom may be loud, but they will always be outnumbered by the "I like these characters. What if they fuck?" contingent. It sucks when you hate the juggernaut ship, but it's not nearly as complicated as you think it is.
