Re: Do you prefer that your ships become canon, or prefer when they don't? Why?

I've been disappointed by the *vast* majority of canon ships. And many of my ships are dark/messed up (I like them that way!) so I don't want them to be canon.

Occasionally, very very VERY occasionally, a canon ship works. Nate/Sophie and Parker/Hardison(+Elliot) from Leverage, Rogue/Gambit, Winter Soldier/Black Widow, and Wiccan/Hulklin from super hero comics, Zoe/Wash from Firefly, and basically every relationship from Discworld. But then I'm satisfied by them and don't actively "ship" them. I don't put a lot of energy in, they're just cool.

In general, if I ship two characters and they aren't already together I don't want them to get together. If they start out together, or get together very quickly and I know that their relationship can be well done before I get invested, maybe it works.
