There are a lot of other people feeling like you do, anon.

Neocities is becoming a thing, and there's add-ons like Ublock Origin to deal with ads and and Sponsorblock to decrapify YouTube shilling, and the newest of the crowd is DeArrow, an attempt to break clickbait.

None of this makes me feel like we're there, but it helps. Sometimes a lot.
