I just realised, we never got a resolution on Bashir possibly being his own great-grandfather on DS9 in Trials and Tribble-ations. And all I can think of is that if anyone in all of Star Trek was going to blunder into being their own ancestor, Bashir is totally the one it would be.

We did get a resolution. he did not have sex with the woman and yet he still existed when they got back to their own time.
