Has anyone watched it, like or dislike? Anyone who was just a casual fan? I was a superfan, but the whole season left me kind of meh. All the other superfans seemed to have loved it.

Does no one remember how much merchandise Frozen had when it first came out? Disney movies always get a huge deluge of merch when the movie is first released and then it tapers off after a while. This isn't any exception to that.

Well, yeah? I'm not sure this is a surprise or much of a revelation? It's Disney, everything they do is about making as much money as they can off of every film they make. Christ I remember being a kid when The Lion King was a hit and all the Lion King merch EVERYWHERE. It was great I still have a mini pride-rock toy set.

I didn't like s1 much because I found they made so many of the side characters from the book flat-out unbearable. I fucking LOVED this season, as a mild spoiler: I am an angst FIEND so I was FED VERY WELL this season, lmao.

Totally get why this is a secret. My knee jerk reaction was definitely defensiveness! But while I adore all the Marvels and really loved Kamala's story, I guess I can imagine why someone wouldn't like her. She is a kid, and kids can be annoying.

I just watched the trailer yesterday and I haven't been this excited for a movie in a long time. I loved everything about it so far!

I 100% support casting a Black actress for the character and I 100% think Disney did it for entirely cynical reasons.

I mean that's sort of the only reason they do *anything*.

Well, yeah. It might be difficult for some to believe that Ezra Miller's behavior might significantly damage the movie's chances at the box office because historically, bad behavior from a white male lead isn't the dealbreaker that fandom or the internet believes it should be. I'm not saying that's right, just that when people get alarmed or upset about the problematic nature of a piece of media, they don't always realize that there are a lot of people who 1) haven't heard and/or 2) don't care, because they're outside of fandom or social media.

I haven't watched Ms Marvel but they played this trailer when I was at the movies yesterday and now I kind of want to.

I think it's okay to find younger teen/kid characters annoying because ime they're often written overly precocious and 'fake' feeling, or 'twee', however since a lot of the hate for Ms. Marvel/Kamala is definitely race related, I can understand why you'd stay mum about it.
