Issue's this film had:

-A long and troubled production (mostly not on EM)

-Next to no advertising/marketing/hype (Heavily on EM, if they can't do publicity without getting dragged for all the crimes they can't really do publicity at all.)

-A dumpster-fire of a star (100% on EM)

-The last (?) entry in a relatively unpopular Cinematic Universe. (mostly not on EM) This film was DOA and yet it zombie'd to theaters.

-A *LOT* of ill will towards WB/HBO/Discovery (Partially on EM, one of the things I know I've hated is that they shelved Batgirl but kept this one going and going and going but realistically more people are mad about MAX removing all those shows/movies.)

-Superhero fatigue (Not on EM)

-It's not actually a great movie (although I've heard it's pretty good) and doesn't live up the hype WB was pumping out (You'll forget all about EM!) so nobody was grabbing their friends for a re-watch. (Partially on EM)

So, like, this movie might have bombed without EM running around beating up women and kidnapping children and breaking into homes and shit but even if they dubbed in Timothee Chalamet I don't think this one was ever going to take off.
