I'm usually a sucker for a good musical episode, but Strange New Worlds' musical episode just left me cold. I love musicals and I love Star Trek, but I don't love this. What is wrong with me?

I liked parts of it. And I loved the idea of a Star Trek musical episode. It totally works as an idea for Star Trek considering how absurd Trek can get. But the execution fell a little flat for me.

I enjoyed it greatly, but they could have done with a wider variety of song types.

But also you don't have to love every musical episode, there's nothing wrong with you.
