I can’t help but be creeped out by the “teddy bear” you can buy from Van starting year 3. I bought it and in the cutscene it stood up when my back was turned and looked around it’s new home, my in game daughter’s room, before quickly returning to the position Van had placed it in.

It kind of harkens back to Jim Henson’s Secret Life of Toys, which I watched as a kid and was convinced my toys moved when I left the room or had my back turned. I didn’t play the original Harvest Moon version so idk what the deal is if it had one there, but an old unfit man selling you a toy that breathes and moves on its own is…creepy.
