(Anonymous) 2023-08-20 03:04 am (UTC)(link)I definitely would not consider 33-36 hours (there and back) an easy road trip if you've only got limited time off to do it in.

(Anonymous) 2023-08-20 03:21 am (UTC)(link)I call out New York City because New York state is not really a small state (being the larger than Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Delaware combined) and I put the driving distance to another city in the state. Road trips are specifically mentioned in both the secret and this comment tread, that is why everyone is talking about road trips.

(Anonymous) 2023-08-20 03:09 am (UTC)(link)The secret says road trips. The comment I was replying to seemed to imply that any road trip east of the Mississippi is a doddle, and I was showing that it's really, really not.

(Anonymous) 2023-08-20 01:26 am (UTC)(link)How about if you live outside New England.
It took me at least thirteen hours to drive from Illinois to my aunt's home in northern Virginia. That was if the weather was good, with few or no construction delays, no accidents on my side of the Interstate and I timed it right so I didn't hit Indianapolis or Columbus during rush hour.
Driving from Boston to New York can also take a lot longer than you'd think, especially in bad weather, major traffic or if there's a lot of construction.

(Anonymous) 2023-08-20 08:47 am (UTC)(link)Then again, there are locations in the US that are much further apart from one another than San Francisco and New York.
