... saving text from the web isn't hard. Just use keyboard shorcuts and it takes max like a min, if that. I don't use the download option on Ao3 and I don't find it difficult at all.

With the mouse it takes me less than 10 seconds to save a fanfic with the fics title as the name file.
I know that because I used to do it ALL the time and I timed myself.
I never said it was "hard", just that I much prefer simply clicking "DOWNLOAD" on AO3. It takes me literally one second to do that. Oh, and the file has tags that I can organize on calibre! I LOVE THAT!
And yeah, it is simpler than copy pasting 100 fics to put on my ebook. FOR ME. maybe not for you? Everyone's different.

BTW I know how to use keyboard shortcuts lol I use them all the time to copy paste. It's still longer than simply clicking on the download button on AO3.
And, personally, using shortcuts takes me longer than using the mouse. I have no idea why. It also hurts my left hand more in the long run.
