Spoilers for Mortal 1 Kombat




The thing that annoyed me the most with the reimagining was Scorpion's ending. Because just what exactly did Hanzo do to Liu Kang that got his entire life handed over. Kuai Liang not only has his powers, but also gets his clan and his wife! The latter is especially off-putting since Hanzo apparenly still exists in this timeline (except he's a kid for some reason). Why couldn't the guy just live happily with his family, exempt from MK shenanigans. He deserved that much.
(But also, I've been shipping Kuai Liang with Smoke since the latter's introduction and I was hoping this game would at least be ambiguous enough that I could headcanon them smooching offscreen and I couldn't even have that)

Yeah big rip to hanzo. Dude really did have his whole life stolen and the good ending vers.of his life. Sad since I think mostly everyone had happier endings in mk1 vs other timelines.

I do say, if mk1 did anything right, they made Johnny Cage x1000 more tolerable. Lit all they had to do was up the gayness level with him and not have him in a (ex)relationship with Sonya Blade. Who'd have known lol.
