Yeah. He wasn't my favorite actor even before all the Scientology stuff came out, but afterwards... nah.

Maybe because Maverick isn't Top Gun and you're happy with the story and characters as they are, and don't really want or need anything else. Just my .02.

I didn’t care one way or the other before seeing Maverick and my OH wanted to go so we went. It was ok. It was good for what it was meant to be. They could have at least tried to cast someone believable as Goose’s son though; instead the whole thing revolves on us pretending TG happened ten years later than it did. Not only was the actor born years after the first movie, his character was the same age as the actor. It bugged me enough that I ended up not liking the movie very much.

I love the OG Top Gun so much, I'm worried seeing Maverick will ruin my love for the original.
