Oh wow VW Bus fandom! I have never had any interest in these but loads of my friends have through the years, mostly when I was younger. But one friend I’ve met in the last decade is a diehard fan and he’s converted a couple now. I never even knew there were T1s and T2s until I met him LOL He does a mix of restoration and conversion and sells most of them off to finance doing more. His wife (also a friend of mine) has a deal with him that he can’t have more than four vehicles total so he’s forever trying to get people in our club to buy them so he gets the chance to see them after selling them. I’ve been in a couple of his now and they’re absolutely gorgeous! I don’t know how I never fell in love with them.

He is! (I’m not anymore, sadly)
He’s in Hartlepool and he sounds like it lol I think there’s a pretty sizeable group of camper van fans in that area, seems like they’re always meeting up.

If you’re anywhere near a coast you can find others to connect with. I know there are FB groups by locality for some of them but I don’t know any other way of making contact with them. It’s the same for Lego which is how I met my friend in Hartlepool even though I was in Peterborough.
