The more I see secrets like this, the more grateful I am that I naturally gravitate to ships with zero interest and no fanbase. The fic may be non-existent, but at least the wank is too.

Your game, your rules. This seems like a much smarter option than deliberately making things harder for yourself because some imaginary audience of hardcore gamers might disapprove.

I'm not going to blow $70 on a game just to ragequit after three hours when I could just as easily savescum or lower difficulty and actually get my money's worth of time and enjoyment.

I play most games on low difficulty tbh and have been playing BG3 on that setting, I play games to relax and have fun or enjoy a story, not to use as some kind of gamer-cred like it makes me cool that I finished it on the hardest setting. Nothing against people who like the challenge, go for it, but it isn't for me and I know that. It's why I'll never play a souls game, I don't want to be mad the entire time I'm playing a game, it'll eventually just make hate the game.

Nope, but I'm not surprised it's a thing with OFMD either. Fandom and shipping =/= activism or real life feelings on real life atrocities, but that never stops some people from equating them.

I have my own ships I hate for moral event horizon crossing reasons, but I'm aware it's not rational because they're not real, and also doesn't have anything to do with what their shippers believe or do irl.

I'm currently revisiting Steam Powered Giraffe after thinking about their song Honeybee and had found out that they had released more albums after Vice Quadrant when I had lost track of their music.
But the bands I tend to come back to are Evanescence, Linkin Park and Placebo. Mostly out of my emo/spooky kid era that just never went away and have just been listening to their music since the 2000s.
