Man, even in my soap opera fandom days, we only attacked the damn ship and not the fans of the ship*! It's perfectly fine to hate on a ship, and you don't have to justify it or bring morals into it.

*I understand that this may not have been everyone's experience. But I just feel like we behaved better than this.

Your game, your rules. This seems like a much smarter option than deliberately making things harder for yourself because some imaginary audience of hardcore gamers might disapprove.

I'm not going to blow $70 on a game just to ragequit after three hours when I could just as easily savescum or lower difficulty and actually get my money's worth of time and enjoyment.

I play most games on low difficulty tbh and have been playing BG3 on that setting, I play games to relax and have fun or enjoy a story, not to use as some kind of gamer-cred like it makes me cool that I finished it on the hardest setting. Nothing against people who like the challenge, go for it, but it isn't for me and I know that. It's why I'll never play a souls game, I don't want to be mad the entire time I'm playing a game, it'll eventually just make hate the game.
