(Anonymous) 2023-10-26 01:16 am (UTC)(link)Doctor Who and Babylon 5 both have a great mix of both, though B5 leans more towards arching plot and Who leans more towards single episode plots. But both mix both types fairly well.
Some shows work best with only one or the other. But for the most part I think a mix is best.
