The older I get, the less patience I have with the "How dare you not love Blorbo!! You must be a Bad Person!!" whining and footstamping in my fandoms.

I hate this especially when it's a case where I don't dislike the character themselves, I dislike how they were written/used in the story. Those are two totally different things! There are plenty of characters that I like just fine as characters but I hate what the author did with them (see: turning an otherwise three-dimensional and interesting female character into The Love Interest and not allowing her to do anything that wasn't somehow related to the guy she liked).
