Love them. I've not read/seen a spoiler that has ruined anything for me ever. Most of the time they actually make me want to watch/read something more or convince me to try it (a la "Okay, so this extremely future favorite shaped character survives the story" or "Oh, yes this interesting looking ship actually gets together and there is a happy ending for them!" etc.)

(The ONLY exceptions are murder mysteries, but the only thing I don't want to know there is who did it. Everything else, I don't care.)

Wut. I have grown up with Columbo. The premise of the show is clearly NOT the whodunnit but how he figures it out so that's obviously different?
