I'm so tired of people boldly claiming how a series doesn't "need" a sequel or any kind of continuation. Especially when a series already has content that isn't necessary for the main story to exist, or if previous details were retconned to make additional content fit. Here's a newsflash: None of it "needs" to be made. Sequels, prequels, side story. It's just a writing decision. Stop acting like somehow the direction YOU prefer is more sacred than what others prefer.

If the writers are creative enough, they will find a reason to continue the story. They just don't want to. And that's fine.

I'm reminded of why I don't engage in most fandom discussions now.
