There are some fandoms out there with not great main characters, so most of the fandom focus (fic, art, discussion, etc.) is on the supporting characters. I can think of mains that are self-righteous, toxic, dull, and/or selfish in all the worst ways. I won't mention any particular main character names because while much of fandom does focus on other characters, some do have their fans that get defensive (which, yeah, I get defensive when someone criticizes my faves). But whatever just came into your head, yeah, probably.
