I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is hard. My dad passed this year, and I've already reserved the anniversary off of work next year. I know it is going to be rough. I'm glad you were able to do something that was cathartic for you. I'm sure your mother was an amazing woman. Take care of yourself.

Thank you so much nonny. That's a good idea to take the day off. It's still a bit of a somber day to me even now. I used to cry when I heard Christmas music bc my mom loved Christmas so much but now I smile and think of how happy she made me and my siblings' childhood.
