Forced pregnancy is basically someone parasiting someone else's body for their own purposes, so I mean if you're into non-con it seems like an escalation that follows the same logic

(Anonymous) 2023-12-15 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
please don't refer to pregnancy as parasitism, that's just revolting. Thank you.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
DA

Well, they're not wrong...

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
It may seem revolting, but biologically, that's what a fetus kinda is.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
DA

+1 to thus! (Pretty sure even The Onion has run with this idea.)

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
Ehh, arguably if non-forced it's a symbiote, not a parasite. Hence forced pregnancy in particular

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought that to be a symbiote, the relationship had to be beneficial to both sides. I don't think there are many upsides to being pregnant that outweigh what the process can do to you.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I suspect some people may try to sell the argument that a fetus can send stem cells to the mother to assist if the mother experiences a health issue. On the other hand, that same action can also exacerbate the moreparasitic traits of pregnancy, so it's a tossup.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
People seem to want babies idk

(Anonymous) 2023-12-20 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Stronger nails, glossier hair, sharper sense of smell. Apparently those are things.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Read the comment please:

Forced pregnancy is parasitism

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
I mean...

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Via the placenta, the fetus jacks into your bloodstream and siphons nutrients away from you. It alters your body in irreversible ways, and it will kill you, if that's what it takes in order to get what it needs from you.

It may be revolting, but it's reality. Pregnancy isn't pretty. It can still be joyful, if it's what someone wants. But if someone doesn't want it? Nah, man.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
DA it looked to me like the comment you were replying to was implying that the person doing the impregnating was the parasite, not the pregnancy itself.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
As someone who has had two kids, I am 100% okay with using parasitism to describe pregnancy. As a physical state, it fucking suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks, mainly because your body is doing everything to keep your little chestburster happy, and nothing for you

(Anonymous) 2023-12-15 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I get you to some extent OP, not always into the non-con myself it depends on the day/month, but I am absolutely into breeding-kink stuff and a dude finishing inside their partner multiple times, but irl the thought of being pregnant utterly horrifies me, like I can think of few things worse for me than having something growing inside me. Nope, fuck off. But in fiction? I'm into the beginning process at least, no clue why, stopped asking the why years ago and just enjoy it these days.

Same. Never ever ever ever ever ever gonna have kids and made sure of it. But it's hot as fuck in fiction.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
I’m with you on the impregnation kink! I’m not really squicked IRL but one of the reasons I’m glad we don’t have kids is that I was not looking forward to the physical aspect of pregnancy.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
For a lot of my kinks the appeal is that they're so different than what I want or can have in reality.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 09:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, for sure. I love impregnation kink but I hate having it be confirmed in the same story that, uh, the pregnancy/babies actually happen... Just the threat of it, please!

But yeah, to me, I think non-con and impregnation kink really get at why I like non-con stories, which is that I like the feeling of violation and helplessness, but I don't like permanent/hard to reverse body modification. In some sense, forced impregnation is similar to/an extension of non-con in that it involves a villain forcefully putting something inside a character's body who can't do anything to stop it in a way that's very humiliating. But when it gets into serious body modification and also there's another life involved, I can't handle that and nope out. Obviously everyone is very different (lots of body modification and forced feeding kinks, for example, also seem like a natural extension to non-con in the same "someone puts something inside you and you can't stop it" way) but I think the "impregnation kink yes, pregnancy and/or babies no" hot/not hot line is pretty common.

Can't believe I read through all the comments and didn't find a single person asking for recs.

So... recs please?? (another "breeding kink is hot but the thought of actual pregnancy is horrific" person. I didn't realise there were so many of us!)

(Anonymous) 2023-12-16 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I used to like breeding/pregnancy fic, before I actually experienced pregnancy. And now it's like body horror to me, sad lol (pregnancy was fine for the sake of clarity, just unpleasant)
