If Star Trek really wants to do a Section 31 movie or show, then it shouldn't try to convince us it is a cool edgy Space-CIA. Instead admit that it is the Space version of the Serbian Black Hand: Corrupt, self selected, and self serving. Stop trying to make S31 cool, Star Trek. Even DS9 didn't try to do that when it was trying to be its darkest anti-Trekist.

The whole point of Section 31 on DS9 was to show how even the Federation could go dark and that even the most ideal society would still have some evil. Evil that genuinely believed it was good and was the reason for the ideal society. But evil that was still evil.
