... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best.

Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made. I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

I really hope that Paramount gives the Frasier reboot the Roseanne treatment. Jettison Grammer himself, and find a way to keep the rest of the cast. They work best when they are bouncing off everyone but him anyway, they just needed him to bring them all together.

If Star Trek really wants to do a Section 31 movie or show, then it shouldn't try to convince us it is a cool edgy Space-CIA. Instead admit that it is the Space version of the Serbian Black Hand: Corrupt, self selected, and self serving. Stop trying to make S31 cool, Star Trek. Even DS9 didn't try to do that when it was trying to be its darkest anti-Trekist.

It never fails to surprise me how weirdly defensive and aggressive some fans get whenever first person narration is criticised. "I leapt to defend this great wrong, 'it is the best and nothing else is acceptable,' I demanded they accept this obvious fact!".

I hate it when I can't make a scenario work for a fic. I have this great idea where The Doom of Valyria was just Godzilla waking up in Westeros, but, dammit, I can't make the actual plot itself work. I hate when that happens.

Nothing makes me feel more painfully old than noticing that Lucy Worsley is finally ageing. For the last twenty years she has looked like the very personification of the fountain of eternal youth, but in her latest series she's finally started showing signs of age herself. It is a little unsettling, to be honest.

Loving that the Doctor Who "fans" who crowed that RTD would be the one to rub the "anti-woke" crowd's face in the dirt, and were screaming about anti-woke tears, are the ones up in arms and shedding tears about how he hasn't been near woke enough over Ncuti Gatwa's regeneration scene. Hey guess what guys, he was never gonna be your savior either.

I'm all for letting people ship what they want to ship but I can't help getting a little irritated that post-series I can't go into any tags relating to Loki now without seeing little else but people fighting over which canon character as their proxy self-insert he's in love with.

Also, from what I've observed one side in particular definitely needs to learn what the word "canon" actually means.

Bonus comment: I don't particularly like the variant loves variant angle but it's undeniably part of the plot.

I wish the adventures in Ruritania trope would make a comeback in fiction. I miss all those swashbuckling in pseudo pre WW1 Austria-Hungary tales.

Just found out I can't watch Wonder Woman anymore - the real world keeps intruding via Gal Gadot. I actually started getting pissed during the liberating Veld scene and had to turn it off.

I wish gen RPF was more of a thing. Even something like Helen Mirren and Queen Elizabeth getting together to roast movies would be entertaining fic in my eyes.

Reddit recs comms are useless. People rec the same 10 titles over and over, for any request. Fantasy books, anime, otome isekai, kdramas, you name the comm, it's prevalent everywhere. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss was recced in every thread when I participated in fantasy books comm. It's ridicoulous circle jerking of people upvoting each other, posting the same lists under the one request. Sometimes the rec goes with 'it doesn't exactly fit but The Name of the Wind is great.' Arfgh. And it's not like MMOs which we have a limited number of active ones.

Everyone talks about how Gilmore Girls is their fall comfort show, but for me it’s The Good Witch. It is so cheesy and wholesome (and it got kind of weird towards the end), but watching it gives me a strange sense of peace.

I totally get people wanting to see their favorite characters again when a show gets rebooted. I want and hope for that, too, and am thrilled when those characters do appear.

But I also think people really need to learn when to let it go and move on when it's clear an actor has no plans/interest in returning for a rebooted series. Harping on and being all, "Okay, but are they ever going to return?" isn't going to magically make them appear.

And if they do decide to show up? I promise, one way or another, we will know. It's not like it'll stay some big mystery forever or something.

(Yes, this is inspired by conversations about the "Frasier" reboot, and the "Criminal Minds" one as well. And I say this as someone who also adores Niles and Reid and would love to see them show up again on the respective reboots. The conversation just gets so tiring after a while, is all.)

I'm glad that the shaky camera TV we had going for a while has ended. (think SGU or The River). It has driven me to more Indian and Asian TV. The problem is that all the TV we have is shitty even if the camera is stable. Then it was covid, then the strikes. I just can't get back to my old watching habbits.

Honestly these days there are two things keeping me from ending things. One is my cat. And the other is the anticipation of Dune Part 2 and live action ATLA. And maybe the Mistborn movie series if it ever actually gets made.

In my youth (early to mid 200s), there was a lot of screeching about TV giving girls unrealistic body image expectations. Even at 12 I thought that was moronic and not giving young women enough credit.

What I will resent to the end of my days is the constant implication that cool girls only used tampons. That shit got in my head.

I'm a little bummed Vanessa Kirby never made so much as a cameo appearance on The Crown after her seasons. Not because I especially loved her as Margaret (she was fine - miles ahead of HBC and a few steps below Lesley Manville), but because she was so gorgeous in that role.

It's like when a show has a really intriguing piece of artwork on set and you find yourself constantly rooting for the camera to get a shot of it.

I didn't realize I had strong opinions on who should play Murderbot in a live-action adaptation until it was announced that Alexander Skarsgård had been cast and I went argh wtf dnw.

I don't know who I would cast, is the thing, only that he's not it.
