I saw the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland years ago and finally saw the sequel movie just recently. The movies were overall pretty forgettable, but I was honestly disappointed that there wasn't any followup to the toxic romance subplot between the Red Queen and the Knave of Hearts. I dimly remember loving their twisted, scheming villain romance and wondering what would happen to them after the movie, I even wrote fic back when the first movie came out. Wtf happened in-universe to that guy? Anyone else wish we got a resolution?
