I'd adopt so many kids if I had the wealth and privilege to do it. I'm sad that I can't do so now.

I've worked for very wealthy people and have witnessed first hand a lot of the 'dos' and 'don'ts' of what to do. I think if I had kids of my own we'd have a lot of cool vacations and experiences, but as for their lives they would have to start on their own and earn their own way. I would of course give them the best start I could by emotionally preparing them for the world, but I'd want them in public school and socializing with not just the rich.

I go back and forth on if they would have to pay their own way in college or not. Anyone I know that had their parents paying for it had such a wasteful attitude about college, but at the same time as someone who had to work three jobs and a full class load and almost broke under the pressure, I know how tough it is.

Once they're are graduated and out in the world, they start earning their own way. I'd help out here and there but they have to earn their own way.

When I die it would all go to kids and family, and depending on how wealthy we're talking it would also go towards trusts or charities or what have you.

Many wealthy celebrities have done the adopting thing and it has not generally worked out particularly well for the kids.

Many wealthy celebrities have birthed kids and it hasn't worked out well for the kids. I think that all has more to do with parenting (or lack of) than how you form your family.
