I just read this interview with Nora Roberts and it made me like her so much more. I've enjoyed her books in the past as fun 'candy' but I didn't really know anything about her personally. My package that I left out for the mail man to pick up got stolen. This is supposed to be a private apartment, and yet this happened. >_< I'm trying to convince the apartment management to let me look at the security footage. IDK what the hell the police department is expecting me to do once I see the footage. IDK if I did everything I was supposed to do in this sort of situation, short of going Sly Cooper and looking inside each of the building's apartments to see who snatched my package. Just overall feeling ugggh about this situation.

I'm frustrated with the way things work here in America at the moment. Have a cold. It is January. We get 5 sick days a year plus 10 vacation days, and I don't want to use any of them this early in the year knowing I will be sicker several times as I always am every year. So I went to work, wearing a mask, and feeling half out of it.

When you overtake someone who is doing 20mph under the speedlimit, and they floor it halfway through the overtake to try and strand you in the lane facing oncoming traffic, it ought to be legal to PIT them.

Winter weather has been really crappy. First snow and below freezing temperatures for weeks, then a warm up and torrents of rain, then back to snow and ice. Every time I see a dumbass going, "Hur hur global warming huh??" I believe I should be legally permitted to kick them in the nuts.

Co-worker in another department heard that my team wasn't doing something. Co-worker decided to write an expose cc'ing every manager she could find to accuse us. Respond back with the completed spreadsheet of all the things she said we didn't do, cc'd to all the managers. Like, you could have sent me a chat asking me if it was done because you had heard we didn't do it. I would have told you it was done, and they were mistaken,. You could have saved yourself the embarrassment. But no. You wanted to get someone in trouble more than you wanted to be right. Asshole.

I wish I lived alone. I hate that I've cornered myself in a career that will never pay me enough to live alone unless its in a crappy part of town in a roach infested falling apart crappy apartment.

But on the other hand I wish I had some sort of life partner. I hate having to go though life alone. (Annoying rommates don't count.)

I really hate working the front desk at my job. If I'm going to stay until 5 pm because the front desk person has to leave early, then maybe someone else could cover the breaks for the front desk person, so I'm not constantly up and down and in and out of my office much of the day. Especially since I've got my own work to do. It's especially pointless because there are people whose offices are literally right next to the front desk and can see the patients who stop in if need be. Why not let them handle that and let those of us whose offices aren't close to the front go about our business?

Also, to my boss, the stuff you suggest that supposedly will help me with the work I do? It's not really all that helpful. It's just making things unnecessarily complicated.

It’s 2024 why isn’t it a requirement for businesses to supply women with free hygiene products? Even if they take a bit out of my payment to provide them I don’t care I just don’t want to get caught unawares by Aunt Flo.

My elderly dog woke me up at 11pm, 11:30, and again around 12. I cannot get back to sleep. I laid in bed until 2:30 then got up and di some chores and some crafts and now I've just given up and am scrolling on my phone. Housemate gets up at 5am and my alarm is set for 6:15 so even if I fell immediately asleep I'd only get 2 more hours of sleep. I am going to be in so much pain at work tomorrow. My body does not function on no/low sleep. ;_;

Does anyone here still go to LJ? I've been getting that the server isn't available, but all the sites say that it's up, so I'm not certain what's going on. (It is the only site giving me that issue)
