I very rarely ran into it, but the people in it seemed to be having a good time. But that's an organic thing, you can't jam several current shows together and force the energy.

Just last year we saw this with suits trying to find a way to force the next Barbenheimer when they whole point was the fans noticed the release dates were the same and just ran with it. People who don't understand fandom and just see it in terms of how they can make money out of it will never get it.

As for Superwholock...I wasn't bothered by it as I'm live and let live but I never watched Supernatural at all and I only briefly cared deeply about Sherlock. So it was pretty annoying having to scroll through a bunch of stuff to get to any kind of just Doctor Who content. I'm glad the most insane phase has ebbed.

It's wild that the suits couldn't figure it out, too, since Barbenheimer isn't even the first time it happened. Doom and Animal Crossing also had the same release date and fans did the same thing, years before Barbenheimer!

It's the cutesy/"girly" thing with the same release date as the darker/"masc" thing getting mashed up for funsies. It isn't hard to replicate if you know the pattern, but even if execs (or their marketing people) do see it, I can't see them not trying to also meddle in some way.

I agree. I was happy for the people having fun with it although I can understand how it would have been annoying for people who encountered it all the time.
