I like anime and I love JJBA, but you don't come off as trolly at all. The Jojo fandom can be annoying and pervasive. Hasn't everyone come across a piece of media they despise because the fandom was so loud, even if they've never engaged with it? I have several!

Also don't really get all the accusations of xenophobia just because you don't like anime. Yes it has different genres of stories, but it's also an art form. Some people hate cartoons as a whole. You enjoy other things, who cares.

Yes absolutely. They also tend to make people go out of their way to write fanfic about the OPs in their heads re:their reasons and motives and sometimes they just downright make shit up and accuse the OPs of it. It's wild sometimes.

Nah, that happens with positive secrets too if someone takes issue with the secret or with someone mentioned in the secret (such as celebs with a bad reputation). Or even if someone replies with a weird take that others can't make sense of.

"I hate all American novels."

...Urban fantasy? Fantasy? Sci-fi? Historical fiction? Etc? Because "American novels" is stupidly diverse, like Western Animation.

No, but saying "not liking" and "hating" are different.
I am utterly indifferent to western animation (especially stuff from North America since I'm from Europe and I still hold dear some European cartoons from my childhood) and I find the fandom always going around telling me that Avatar is the greatest thing of all incredibly annoying, yet I don't go around saying "I hate all American cartoons". It'll make me look like a moron who don't know what they're talking about.

Oh and I don't really watch Japanese animation either so idc
