I'm asexual, and I genuinely don't understand it either. Maybe it's just because the whole time other people were talking about having sexual attraction, I thought I was having it too. I just thought finding another person attractive enough to want to look at a lot and maybe being vaguely interested in the concept of having sex with them was sexual attraction. It's hard to imagine having no experience that you could mistake for sexual attraction to the point that you think the entire rest of the world is joking.
