Replying late, but does anyone have any recs for these kinds of shows? It sounds amazing and I would love to watch some cozy bullshit. ;o;

I hate the casting because he is known for playing great father figures and Reed shouldn't be that. I like my Reed meaning well but just a little bit out of touch.

This is the most recent one I watched, called My Boss, a rather silly romcom where the female lead works at a prestigious law firm and ends up being reluctant roommates with her own boss:

This one is a little older, an esports cdrama where the female lead is trying to make a career of being an esports commentator and the love interest is a controversial gamer:

No. Not in comics canon, at least.

I think the age gap in comics continuity is somewhere around 5 years. They've done a bunch of retconning around the specific ages though.

holy shit there’s so much good advice in this thread

re: disposable underwear - I hadn’t thought of that! I’ll have to take a look into brands

re: footwear - I’m already planning on wearing sneakers. I’m tall (5’7”) so I have no doubt I’ll be able to see the stage

re: ear plugs - never thought of that! I do have sensitive hearing so I’ll have to buy some.

now, I have the ability to upgrade my ticket from rear GenAd to front, but I was reading a post by a Swiftie who said they weren’t regulating seats at the Taylor concerts. do I chance it and not or do I pay $20 extra and trade my rear genad?

Re: What do you hope to see more of soon in upcoming media?

Theatrically released films made for $5mil-$~30mil. Little to NO CGI that carry some element of slice of life, cool/interesting horror, well made drama, original stories, love letters to a specific place in which the location is a character in the film, giving the auteur ~serious~ artist voice to talent that is doing SOMETHING with film making outside of desperately grasping for the next big franchise, mid budget comedies, actual good action films, good romance films where the chemistry is electrifying. And like, IDK giving money to directors who can do cool shit on a small budget like young Sam Raimi/Robert Rodriguez/Catherine Hardwicke/Michel Gondry.

Animation outside of CGI/made for kids (or if made so, does not talk down to the audience). Let animation diversify, please!

Really good costume designs in films!! I feel like 2023 was a mixed bag but there were some fashion moments that amazed me, which is more than I can say in the late 2010s-COVID.

Re: Advice

*Take pictures!!! I always regret not taking enough pictures.

This is highly subjective. I am not a picture taking kind of person at all. I almost never take pictures at special occasions/events, and I never regret it. I'll go to events with friends/family and see how often they're taking pictures and it seems like they miss a lot...if anything I feel like I would regret it if I did take pictures. Not worrying about taking pictures allows me to focus 100% on what's happening at that moment, and I've never once thought about a past event and thought "I wish I had pictures". I have pictures of events from several years ago before I realized it was (IMO) pointless, and it honestly never occurs to me to look at them.

Maybe OP is the type of person who loves pictures so maybe this advice is good for them, but I just wanted to put a different perspective out there...not everyone would regret not taking pictures.

I worry that Pedro is close to getting overexposed.

I'd switch him out for specific men. Then I'm fine with it.

After how long he's struggled getting jobs in the past, I think it's okay that he's continuing to strike while the iron's hot.

Ah yes, horse tilt.
