Canada absolutely does take trans and gay refugees. You don't have to "offer" anything as a refugee, you're thinking of immigration.

And it's awful to see all those recent gains being taken away but they're not gone yet. thisfinecrew on DW often has things you can do to help, even from home, even for free, and I find that more helpful mentally than getting into the doom spiral (even though I don't know if it's helping for real).

It's the disabled portion that I think would screw us out of most places--or at least most help. We can't do much. Hell, I can barely cook us a meal, and my husband can barely get out of bed.
