It should be a good thing to care more about the people who are close to you and issues that effect you the most. You wouldn't fault someone for caring more about themselves or their best friend than some people in a town one state over they've never been to. It would look pretty callous and backwards if they cared more about the random people, in fact. So why have we as the left decided it should be the other way around when it comes to countries?
