So I sort of agree? More so with the imperialism than the sexism, but a little bit with the sexism.

I don't like the sexism and imperialism but I think it is part of the legacy of the franchise, dovetailing with the fact that Bond as a character kind of has to be at least a little bit of a prick. It's important there is this slightly negative, grim aspect to the franchise and character. Bond is a coldblooded killer and an asshole committing crimes in the service of a deeply objectionable fading empire. You need a little tint of that in with the jet-setting glamor to give the whole thing the proper feeling.
