Weekend Plans

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'm going to be playing video games and relaxing. Maybe a long walk. Hopefully just a nice weekend after my hellish work week.

I'm working both days so I'm not looking forward to it, but I get to finish at 2 tomorrow and 4 on sunday, so it could be worse. I'm mostly just hoping our local twat of a regular who complains at us about the store prices, and never buys anything, won't be in while I'm there.

We go tomorrow evening to see my partner’s new car! I’m not clear on if we actually bring it home with us then or if we go back Monday for that. But we’re really excited! It was delayed twice so it’s been a long wait.

I just had to throw out a whole bowl of soup that I was going to heat up because a medium-sized amount of diluted green apple dishwashing detergent I squirted got into the soup and I don't know exactly where it landed. When I spooned up some of the soup to my nostrils, all I smelled was green apple. So I just threw out the soup instead of possibly poisoning myself with it. Damn! Wasted a 19 oz. can of good soup!

Resting, getting over a bad migraine. Watching something hopeful. Debating between LOTR, Doctor Who, or Star Trek (not sure which series). I'm just feeling depressed and bleh and I need some hope in my life.

Going to try and tackle the clutter. I have been in a bad state and most of the house is fine, but closets and furniture surfaces (dresser, table, counters, etc) are a little bit hoarder status. It has been bothering me but I haven't had the mental energy to tackle it. Feeling like this weekend may be the time!

Should I make a frozen pizza, get papa johns, pizza hut, or a local place. The local place is good but I only eat their calzone. With the pizzas I can eat them cold and get 3-4 meals.

Stranger Things- Murray/Alexei (rare in terms of how much fic compared to other ships, but to be fair, the standard ship for either of them afaik)... and if Robin/Vickie counts, I think that's cute, not gonna be mad if it goes canon, but it's for sure not the popular ship for her...

I have a bunch of micro fandoms where all the ships are rarepairs.

Rogue Trader: I ship Abelard/Heinrix. They are the ultimate toxic old man Yaoi, Heinrix isn't in Abelard's chain of command, and one time Heinrix tries to compliment Abelard for being in shape and Abelard takes this (awkward flirting?) as judgy bitchiness. I want Abelard to fuck him through a mattress but Heinrix x Rogue Trader is the big ship. (Which I also love)

So I'm staying with my parents for awhile for a combination of different reasons, all of which are boring and unimportant. My dad is not going to be mentioned in this story for reasons that will probably become apparent by the end, but he lives here, too. Anyway, my mom (who should've been an interior decorator, she's really good at it) fixed up the guest room for me to stay in. It looks great, I have my own bathroom, things have worked out well so far and should be fine for however long I end up staying here. There's a big closet where a bunch of my mom's stuff is stored, but she's made it clear that it's my space while I'm here and she won't go into the room while I'm not here. I still usually make an effort to keep certain things hidden away that I wouldn't want her to see if by some chance she did have to come in when I wasn't here.

Until now. I for some reason left a couple sex toys out to dry after cleaning them, and didn't even really think about it before leaving the house. Then found out later that there was something she needed from the closet that was time-sensitive and she wasn't sure when I'd be back, so she went in and got it. I apologized for the room "being messy" just to see what she'd say, and she said she didn't notice because she was in such a hurry that she just went straight to the closet and got what she needed and left. My toys were in somewhat of an out of the way area behind some other stuff so if she really did just go straight to the closet and leave, she wouldn't have noticed, so it's possible she didn't actually see them, but just the idea that she COULD have is freaking me out.

Even if she did see them, she's super open about sexuality and has mentioned before that she has toys of her own, so it's not like she'd disown me or probably even judge me too much, but still. I can't help feeling super embarrassed.

Anyone else have any similar stories?

Not personally, but I have a friend that is a nanny and one day when she went up to strip the beds and on the teenager's bed was a dildo. She (my friends) was mortified and texted asking what to do. She didn't want to shame or embarrass the kid but damn. I told her if the kid is old enough to be buying (and using) sex toys then she is old enough to clean her own laundry lol

Nothing wrong with having toys, she likely didn't notice or if she did quickly moved on... It sounds like she's respectful of your privacy overall.

I have something if you want a point of comparison for how it could have been a LOT worse.

In college, my roommate got a sex toy in the mail (I know this is where most people would say "You can just say it was you!" but no seriously, I'm anon, it really was my roommate, we're still good friends which is how I know the full story) shipped in the customary generic plain box for privacy as sex toys usually are and when she was bringing it back from the post office, she set the UNOPENED box down in the dorm kitchen for a few minutes to do other stuff on that floor. In that period of time, someone else came into the kitchen, saw the box, got "curious" and opened it, freaked out when she saw what it was and went crying to the RA about it. She didn't tell the RA that she was the one who opened the box herself, she let the RA think my roommate had left a sex toy out in the open and my roommate got a lecture. I guess it's lucky it was just a lecture, but the same girl who opened the box let word spread around the dorm.

Kind of minor, but my superintendent had to do some work in my apartment while I was out and moved my bedside table to access the ceiling. I know for sure that he saw my whole collection of sex toys because that drawer always opens all the way by itself when you move the nightstand.

Haven’t seen him in person since. Trying to remind myself that it can’t be the first time he’s seen something like that in a tenant’s apartment.

Weird that OP started this thread because earlier today my brain decided to remind me of some of my most embarrassing moments.
On two separate occasions my siblings walked in on me jacking off. First time I was a teen and my elder sister was still not into respecting people's spaces and she opened the door to my room while I was in the middle of self love.

A few years later it was my older brother.

Also, more than once through the years, I've accidentally left sex toys out in my room and people walked in and likely saw them.

I've made peace that I have my own sex life and of course I don't want to talk to people about it or have people know about it, but it's human nature and everyone has their story/journey (I'm Aroace but I masturbate quite a bit, not as much as when I was young but I have a routine need to get off that I understand is a tension relief after working on my own unique struggles with sex and shame that came from the environment I was raised in).
