I mean I get that you are sad small ships don't get read, but you are literally saying "I'm sad people don't read things that don't interest them." It is just really weird.

I also don't eat food that doesn't taste good or wear clothes that don't fit!

For a lot of people “doesn’t have my OTP in it” isn’t the same as “has nothing to interest me”.

Just because pizza is my absolutely favorite food, it doesn’t mean I refuse to have meals that don’t include it.

True true. But I would say 90% of fandom is shipping or specific character based. Most people don't have much interest out of that.

And I say all this as someone who does read outside my ships and enjoys gen fic
