"Plus it is all just so open" - yeah this has been my main problem. On LJ you would be in the same group of people with the same interest. On Tumblr, its way too easy for a post to escape containment.
Another really awkward problem that's been rising from younger fans in my fandom are those with yet-to-be-realized-fetishes, where they post fanfic or fanart of a character being restrained and tickled 'for a prank' or anther one doing head canons on characters pretending to be dogs. And they're just - posted on the fandom tag on Tumblr for the world to see and are technically untagged fetishes; but they're clearly under 20 and I'm an adult who absolutely does not want to be the person to point that out. So I've been ignoring it while waiting to see if somebody else calls them out at a later date.
