Could it be that you're just not seeing the shitty things cishet men are saying? Because as someone who's been in some dude-mostly online fanbases, hoooooo boooooooooy are they not fun to be around en-masse. Much like women-mostly fandom I always have to curate my online spaces but instead of avoiding toxic inter-personal(or headcanon fights) insanity I'm having to avoid alt-right bullshit 90% of the time.

Both are bad in their own ways mind you, but it's not better when it's men being shit.

+1, I'm in superhero comics fandom. You can easily avoid the majority of the dudebros to the point that it feels like a bunch of different fandoms about the same thing. But they are there and they are part of the fandom and they definitely influence it.
