You ever wonder why it is that it tends to be women who've been treated like shit that start identifying as nonbinary? Like, I've never seen a woman who's been treated well suddenly go nonbinary; it's only women whose womanhood has caused them pain.

Oh boy, you picked the wrong person to reply to and wrong way to take my comment, I happen to be AFAB nonbinary and had been treated very well my whole life as a "woman," which is one of the reasons it was so hard to come out. And I've spoken to more nonbinary people than you, so you might want to reconsider your confirmation bias, if you're not a troll.

Clarification: I meant the reason it was hard to come out was because people who didn't know how identity words were going to say "But you never had any trouble being a woman, so why would you bother doing this? Wouldn't it be easier to just stay a woman?"

Fun fact: you still are a woman.

You are reaching.
Also I've seen a lot of creators in my smaller indie fandoms having gender journey and they are treated well, at least by fandom

OK JK Rowling.
