*shrugs* You do you, but I'm the kind of "over (Disney's) Star Wars" that involved not watching anything they've made since they perma-killed Darth Maul. They can't write Sith for shit, they can't make compelling new villains, and they apparently don't have the sense to realize that a good subset of the fandom was really only here for the rogues gallery in the first place and let the villains who were alive when they bought the franchise stay long-term antagonists. Instead, they expect us to bond with colorless, forgettable new characters that just don't cut it. At this point, what I do with SW is exclusively with the fandom. When someone competent is handling canon, I might reconsider, but otherwise? Nah.

Hold up. You blame Disney for killing a character in 1999?

He got revived later on, and actually had a compelling story in clone wars and rebels. In the latter, he actually got a beautiful sendoff and end to his character arc.

Different anon's got it right. Although your mileage may vary on the death scene and the necessity of killing him off (again) at all. He'd been having a very badass existence in the Clone Wars/Rebels cartoons and the EU, before Disney got creative control over the franchise.
