I want to see what modern fandom thinks of the Sime-Gen series. It’s about tentacled people who need to eat your life energy to survive, and if you panic the energy drain kills you and they get addicted to killing, but if you’re unafraid, it’s like sex.

Also, I’ve spent so long spelling it Wraethu. I think I’ll keep doing that, because the intended spelling is just obnoxious.

the appeal of ABO is the appeal of those Dom/Sub universes which preceded it (and to some extent the hetero vampire or werewolf romance novels that were popular in the late 90s and early 00s which preceded even them and heralded dark erotica being way more commonplace): conventional relationships with conventional social roles with conventional ideas of what those roles imply about biology with conventional markers of social success but forced and where being gay is baked into the conventionality, but with little to no actual specificity, so then, you know, you can spin off literally wherever you want from there. i would bet that wraeththu being from a book series is too specific, since it has its own canon. but imagine eventually you will see crossovers if its fairly popular.

Pretty boys with two sets of genitalia and sex magic? Sounds like interesting reading.

I WAS OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES IN HIGH SCHOOL.

There was actually a surprisingly large fandom in SECOND LIFE of all places years ago but I don't know if they are still around. There was an whole Immanion region and everything, with an extensive library and all. I wish I saved the notecards from there, they had a ton of fic.

That sounds so cool. :D
Sorry for the late reply, I've been just sick as a dog.
