This is a specific one, but I hate it when Sugar Daddies are the best boyfriend ever. Just super attentive romantically and generous lovers and doting good guys who give great gifts.

I know that's the fantasy, but I want fucked up romances about overbearing people who are selfish and obsessed with control. And if i can't get that in stories where guys pay for sex/companionship then where can I?!?

Hell yeah! I'm reading one right now that, while not overt with any selfishness or overbearing control, does have the Sugar Daddy displeased whenever his sugar baby wears something he didn't buy. In one scene he takes their jewelry off and says "You will only wear things I bought you" and I'm like, yesssss.

You could also try searching the "grooming" tag and then selecting to exclude the "underage" tag. Unless you're fine with underage, but I feel like "underage" + "grooming" is a lot more likely to focus on overt rape, whereas "grooming" minus "underage" is a lot more likely to focus on fucked up, selfish, controlling older men in power-imbalanced relationships.
