Fun With Dick and Jane. Every character who appears in more than one scene does something completely assholish and never makes up for it, and you’re not really expected to like any of them.

Honestly, yeah. We have SO MANY heroes who are good and kind and heroic people that to me it's just more interesting to have heroes that... aren't that.
