There is a lot of angst and talk of being separated, and going their own ways, and not seeing each other as much, and then the reveal is that one of them has their quarters on the neck pylon and the other has their quarters on the same ship but in the saucer, you end with them still bickering via pad call, and the Galaxy doing a saucer separation sequence. Fade to black. Boimler then screams in VO. Then roll credits.
